Hello!  I’m Michelle Marchand, and I love teaching fourth grade English Language Arts and Michigan Studies here at Weymouth.  I graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO, in 1986, with a B.S. in Elementary Education and completed additional coursework for my Michigan teaching certificate at Western Michigan University.  I completed my M.A.E. (emphasis: curriculum and instruction) from Spring Arbor University in July of 2005.  My professional interests include research/data analysis, curriculum alignment, and balanced literacy.

My family and I have been a part of the Charlotte community since 1994.  My husband, Gary, works as a quality technician at Dart Container’s corporate office in Mason.  Our oldest daughter, Annastacia, is a student at Liberty University, where she is part of the Army ROTC program.  She is majoring in international relations: strategic intelligence analysis.  Our younger daughter, Ellyse, is a junior at Charlotte High School where she’s involved in marching and symphony band.  She also enjoys deer hunting and working out.  In my spare time I enjoy walking, scrapbooking, stamping, singing in my church’s praise team, and teaching 4^th and 5^th grade boys and girls at our church, Bible Baptist of Leslie. During the summer my favorite place to be is with my family, camping and exploring new and familiar places.
