READING PROGRAMS

ACCELERATED READER -

"AR" is a computerized reading program.  Students and teachers can read a book from our AR test list and then take a multiple-choice test on the book they read.  They receive instant feedback.  The computer keeps track of their reading record.  The goal is to increase your reading level and maintain at least 80% on the test.

READ FIRST

The library Media Center sponsors reading promotions throughout the year.  A variety of promotions such as trivia contests, book talk, reading luncheons and displays are used.  Our theme this year is "Read First"  We will be promoting non-fiction and different types of fiction.

MARCH IS READING MONTH -

The Governor of Michigan has proclaimed March to be Reading Month.  During this month, we celebrate and promote reading with a number of activities such as our annual book fair, trivia contests and displays.
