“Where Your Roots Begin”
Galewood Elementary is located on Lovett Street and we service about 200 or slightly more students per year. Our staff members are very involved with the students and pride ourselves in knowing our families quite well. Our school grounds have some very unique features such as being near a farmer’s field in which students can observe horses grazing from the playground area. Our motto speaks to “Where Your Roots Begin” because we have a very large collection of old trees that are majestic throughout our property. As a downtown city we have a nice flavor of being in the country with our natural setting and the pieces of nature sprinkled throughout the grounds.<more>
