Mary Taylor, Associate Superintendent for
Curriculum
Mrs. Taylor attended
Aquinas
College
, where she earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in English and Social
Science. She also attended
Grand
Valley
State
University
where she earned her Masters of Arts degree in Educational Leadership.
Mrs. Taylor began her
teaching career in education as a kindergarten teacher in
Corona
,
California
. She and her family moved
back to
Michigan
where she then taught for Eaton
Rapids Public Schools for ten years.
Mrs. Taylor then took a principal’s position for Maple
Valley Public Schools at
Maplewood
Elementary School
. For the past five years,
Mrs. Taylor has been the principal of
Parkview
Elementary School
here in
Charlotte
.
Mrs. Taylor’s
professional affiliations have included the Michigan
Association of Elementary and Middle School Principals, the Association
for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the National
Staff Development Council.
Mrs. Taylor and her
husband, Chuck, have lived in
Charlotte
for fifteen years. Their three
children, Andy, Joe and Chrissy graduated from
Charlotte
Public Schools
. Mrs. Taylor enjoys spending
time with her family, especially her new grandchild.
Mrs. Taylor’s hobbies include reading, walking and home
improvements.
Mrs. Taylor is
pleased to serve
Charlotte
Public Schools
as the Associate Superintendent for Curriculum.
She enjoys working with the K-12 staff as they continue to provide
a quality educational experience for the students of the
Charlotte
community.
